BURKINA FASO: Evaluation of Sahel, Eastern and Central East Regional Fund Program of support to the development of agriculture in Burkina Faso (PADAB II)

Project description

The PADAB II program aimed to contribute to the achievement of the rural development policy objectives (SDR) relating to economic growth, improving income in the rural sector and food security. This program included 3 components: institutional support (C1), Decentralised Rural Development (C2), Support to the sector of micro finance (C3).

Services provided

For this mission, CA 17 International provided a Project Manager (from CA 17 International headquarters), a Finance and Accounting Evaluator, a Senior Rural Engineering Evaluator and an Assistant Project Manager – Quality Manager (from CA 17 International headquarters). The mission to evaluate and audit the Regional Fund evaluated 75 projects in detail. The evaluation concerned the technical and financial audits of the private and public branches of the FD-DRD set up in the three PADAB 2 intervention regions (the Sahel region, the Centre-East region and the East region) by selecting projects in 9 provinces and 20 municipalities (6 municipalities in the Eastern region, 8 municipalities in the Central-Eastern region, 6 municipalities in the Sahel region). Recommendations were also made for better implementation of the fund.
