Project description
CA 17 International provided Technical Assistance to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development (MAFRD) in order to establish the FADN system in Croatia in accordance with EU Acquis Communautaire requirements. This Technical Assistance highlighted the exchange of practices and experiences of EU Member States through its team of experts composed of French, Estonian and Danish. A seminar was held during the project for relevant officials and representatives of producer organisations.
Project goals
Three key objectives were completed in the course of the project: a) Define the organisational structure of the national FADN Implementing Agency, b) Implement a pilot FADN project in the country, c) Action-training for the preparation of procedure manuals, questionnaires, FADN result sheets for sample farms, information collection and processing FADN farm sampling.
Services provided
CA 17 International’s missions were as follows:
- Definition of organizational structure of FADN Implementing Agency (at national level);
- Implementation of a FADN pilot project;
- Assistance in the drafting of FADN legislation;
- Preparation of technical documentation for acquisition of FADN software;
- On the job training on farm return content, SGM, FADN sampling etc.;
- Organisation of a study visit for the FADN Stakeholders covering the following topics: FADN organization, methodology, communication with Brussels, co-operation among implementing agencies, statistical offices and ministries;
- Organisation of FADN seminar for governmental officials and producers’ organisations;
- Translation of relevant FADN legislation into Croatian language.
