The Project “Support for the development of the Ouadi Rimé Wildlife Reserve – Ouadi Achim and sustainable management of its biodiversity (POROA) – Republic of Chad” is part of the Support Program for the Conservation of Biodiversity and Fragile Ecosystems in Central Africa (ECOFAC VI) funded by the 11th European Development Fund (implementation on 01/10/18, for 4 years).

Project goals

The diagnostic study was intended to contribute to the overall objective of developing the Ouadi Rimé – Ouadi Achim Wildlife Reserve and managing its biodiversity in a sustainable way.
The specific objective of the study was to understand, the most precisely, the administrative, socio-economic and cultural context of the Ouadi Rimé – Ouadi Achim Wildlife Reserve and its surrounding areas.

Services provided

The results of this study were intended to feed the strategic documents (PAG of the RFOROA, etc.) but also create consultation frameworks, and help the POROA project team identify and prioritize certain activities, based on specific needs of the targeted populations, including vulnerable segments of these populations, and to select future partners to support/advise the implementation of these activities.
