Project description
The objective of the Development and Management Project of the Badaguichiri Watershed is to contribute to the security of living conditions of populations, support to food security by preventing risks, improving food security and sustainably managing natural resources in the Tahoua region. In that purpose, municipalities, municipal and local land use planning commissions, and producer’s organisations’ are developing, managing and sustainably developing the natural resources (water, soil, forests and pastures) of their territory, especially within the Badaguichiri’s watershed.
Services provided
CA 17 International mobilised an International Technical Assistant, Advisor to the Project Coordinator in support to internal management of the project (technical, logistical, administrative and financial) and procurement and institutional support to the staff of the Ministry of Environment, Urban Health and Sustainable Development and its decentralized technical services (50 M-M). The Technical Assistance also mobilised international (4 M-M) and national (7 M-M) short-term experts and was supported by a permanent backstopping team composed of 3 senior experts from our headquarters (4 M-M) and a backstopping technical pool (1 M-M) (experts in decentralised management of natural resources, communal planning, land security, specialist in Rural Code, specialists in agro-pastoral and PO sectors, specialist in animal resources, specialist regionalisation of the RDC and of natural resources’ management).
