Project description
The establishment of continuing training, such as those concerning this contract, was intended to facilitate access by farmers to the SAPARD funds for the modernisation and upgrading of their farms with a view to Romania’s EU entry in 2007.
4 training modules of 120 hours each were designed by international and national experts:
- Module 1: Training on the general management of an agricultural holding or an agricultural business (cereals and livestock) for managing directors, directors of agricultural products trading businesses, managers of small agricultural businesses, forestry or fishing, assistant directors;
- Module 2: specific training in cereal crops for owners of cultivated land, tenants, farmers;
- Module 3: Specific training in the rearing of dairy cows for cowherds and farmers (individual undertakings or livestock or mixed livestock farming);
- Module 4: Agrotourism training for entrepreneurs and farm employees who have developed agrotourism.
Project goals
The continuing training provided by CA 17 International involved 600 Romanian operators for 10 months.
The objectives of the project were:
- The assimilation of advanced knowledge, modern agricultural practices and methods necessary for the valorisation of the investments of the European fund SAPARD;
- Updating knowledge and improving the continuing training system on the topics of management, cereal crops, milk production and agro-tourism.
Services provided
CA 17 International provided technical and administrative management of the project:
- Design of the approach and methodology used;
- Organisation, planning, logistical arrangements;
- Quality control of training.
