SERBIA: Creation of a Farm Accountancy Data Network in Serbia

Project description

In the harmonization context of the agricultural sector by European standards, the project supported the establishment in Serbia of an agricultural statistics network in accordance with European standards and Serbian legislation on agriculture and rural development and strengthening the administrative capacities of the institutions involved in the project and in implementing the Common Agricultural Policy.

Services provided

Within a consortium, CA 17 International had mobilised an international expert in Information and Communication Technologies and an international expert specialized in FADN (Farm Accountancy Data Network) and training.
These experts participated in: i) structuring the FADN’s institutional framework and capacity building, ii) developing and implementing Information and Communication Technologies software and developing a computer network for the Ministry, iii) implementing the FADN, the recruitment of participating farmers and recording data to provide the necessary data to the FADN.
