Project description
The project organised several seminars in Ukraine with the participation of specialists from the Greek and French Ministries of Agriculture to facilitate exchange and transfer of know-how.
A study-trip was organized for senior officials of the Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy in France.
The project facilitated the development of a bill that was adopted at first reading by the Ukrainian Rada in October 2005.
Project goals
The Tacis IBPP was a program funded by the EU Commission, which supported the development of civil society in the New Independent States (NIS) and Mongolia.
The purpose of the project was to establish a dialogue with professional agricultural organisations’ in Ukraine with the state departments in order to prepare a consultative framework for developing an agricultural policy.
Services provided
Support in the drafting of a bill to facilitate a framework between the State and professional agricultural organisations’ in Ukraine in the creation of an agricultural policy.
Organisation of a study trip, seminars and workshops/ colloquia based in Kiev and Ukrainian regions. Advertising and dissemination campaign.
