In collaboration with the Ministry of Mechanisation of Agriculture and Irrigation Development, and the Working Group on Livestock Production, the Technical Review Group of the Agrarian Sector expressed the need to conduct a global reflection on the pastoral sector. Thus, the Sectoral Analysis of Livestock Production and Development of an Investment Framework for Small Livestock Producers in Zimbabwe aimed to promote Public Investment in the Zimbabwean Livestock Sector.

Services provided

CA 17 International has been mandated to carry out a detailed diagnosis of the entire Livestock Sector in Zimbabwe and to propose strategic guidelines to promote public investment in the livestock sector. It enabled 1) The production of a documentary review on the Livestock Sector in Zimbabwe, 2) The proposal for a diagnostic analysis of the determinants of return on investment of the production systems of small livestock farms, 3) The conduct of a detailed review of investment opportunities, as well as policy and regulatory options governing the Zimbabwean Livestock Sector.

CA 17 International mobilised Experts 2 “Specialist in Marketing Promotion of the Livestock Sector” and 3 “Specialist in Institutional/Organisational Management” for a total of 60 M-D (or 2.75 M-M) from a team of 4 experts.
