EGYPT: The overseas training for el Behira Rural Second Rural Development project

Project description

The one-month training courses in France and Ireland consisted of four modules in the following areas: Biological Agriculture; Animal production (milk); Horticulture and aromatic and medicinal plant production; Training in environmental impact evaluation of rural development projects.

Each module included an important part reserved for practical work and case visits in order for trainees to take advantage of the opportunity to practice their learning in an operational way.

A total of 44 trainees undertook the training modules.

Services provided

• Logistical organization for transport and accommodation of 44 trainees;
• Organization of translation courses from French into Arabic and accompaniment of trainees during the visits;
• Design of training courses and implementation of the training for each of the four modules;
• Preparation and organization for practical work in the field frequently with staff of specialized companies such as soil laboratories, waste processing etc.);
• Evaluation and follow-up of training modules and trainees;
• Preparation and submission of training reports.
