Project description

RESEPAG II main goals were to: i) Reinforce the MANRRD’s ability to provide and facilitate access to agricultural services to farmers; ii) Improve small producers’ access to markets and food security; iii) Provide financial assistance in the event of an agricultural emergency. Particularly, it comes in support to farmers / women farmers from the Southern region.

Services provided

In 2 municipalities of the Southern region (Cavaillon and Maniche), CA 17 International was in charge for: i) Operationalising the incentives’ scheme of RESEPAG II; and ii) implementing Farmer-Field Schools (FFS). 5,000 targeted farmers have effectively accessed the incentives scheme (IS) and therefore received technical support and non-refundable financing assistance to adopt new technologies that can sustainably increase income from agriculture.
Among these 5,000 beneficiaries, at least 1,000 of them received specific advisory support through the Farmer-Field Schools (FFS) in order to implement the technical packages promoted by the Project. It rewarded the following value chains: coffee, cocoa, agroforestry gardens (Creole gardens), rice growing, maize, beans, sweet potatoes and market gardening.
